Our Story

Meet Kendra, owner & heart of  behind Salt & Light Coffee House and The Loft at Salt & Light — spaces created from her deep passion for hospitality, faith, and community. What started as a dream has grown into places where people can slow down, feel welcomed, and experience meaningful connection.

She is first and foremost a wife and proud girl mom. Alongside her supportive husband, Matthew, Kendra has built a life centered on faith, family, and purpose. Matthew’s steady encouragement and partnership have been instrumental in helping bring her visions to life — both at home and in business.

Kendra loves creating spaces where people feel seen and at home — whether that’s inside the coffee house, welcoming guests to The Loft, or gathering friends around her own table. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, staying active in sports, baking something sweet, listening to country music, and soaking in every season of life as she watches her girls grow.

She carries a strong love for her country and the values that shape her family and leadership. Kendra believes meaningful spaces and intentional living can have a lasting impact — one cup of coffee, one stay, and one conversation at a time.
